As the film proceeds, Juhani falls in love with Vanamo, one of the daughters of Olavi. She spends all her time when not attending school with him. Kristina Haaltu plays the role of Olavi’s wife, Irene, who gets attracted towards one of the boys in the home. After listening to his story of sexual and physical abuse, Irene has an affair with him.
On the whole, the film is quite dramatic with a blend of heavy and light topics. The movie is quite intense with abuse, murder at times, but also shows budding love and a steely resolve.
